I live in Oklahoma.

I am located not 15 miles from where this storm took place today. Back in 1999 on May 3rd a violent tornado ripped through the EXACT areas that the one today did and took 36 lives on that date in 1999.

All of my family members are accounted for, but there are many, many people in my state without homes, power, transportation, or anything that they’ve known for their entire lives. They are missing their own family and friends.

Moore, OK looks like an apocalyptic like warzone.

The associated press just posted: “State medical examiner’s office: 37 killed in Oklahoma tornado; death toll expected to rise.”

I hope that any of my followers out there that live here in Oklahoma are safe and well. These tornado outbreaks have also ripped through some of Texas and Kansas, so again for all of you living in those areas as well I hope that you and your family are safe and sound.

This tornado today, what they are saying is the worst one in history, ripped through neighborhoods, elementary schools, hospitals, businesses, and farms. The devastation here is unreal. There are so many children and people still missing.

Now, the point of this post. I am asking for help for my state. Please help. Not for me, but for my neighbors, friends, and for people who are in desperate need. Please.

So after seeing Beauty and the Beast 3D, can I just take a moment to discuss the un-tapped potential of post-movie ending shenanigans.

Prince Adam will be the most adorable obnoxious prince ever (also he is so handsome and dreamy UNPOPULAR OPINION WHATEVER I was swooning, do you not see that barrel chest and aquiline nose and OMG TOOTHY GRIN uuuuugh hot hot hot). I mean, he spent his developing life as a chimera beast. He had a hearty roar! HIS TEMPER WAS TERRIBLE. His eating habits took effort! He could jump banisters! Shit just doesn’t go away when he’s human, god damn. For the most part he’ll be doing his best to act like a proper gentleman but when he’s excited he’ll run up the stairs on all fours and when he’s in a mood (which let’s be honest will be 99.99999% of the time I mean we all saw the same movie right) he’ll have horrible posture and pouting and growling with great gusto. Even if he technically can’t do that anymore.

Also whoever is of the opinion that Belle gave up her life to be married (i.e. her dreams of travel, adventure, and seeing more!!!) can just go jump off something humongous because, uh, hello she married a prince who gave her an entire library wing as a starter. This is the woman that saved his life and that he adores beyond belief!!! THEY WILL GO TRAVELLING EVERYWHERE. omg can you imagine the tourism antics. They visit Italy! Belle is beside herself at the BEAUTY EVERYWHERE OMG and Adam meanwhile is trying not to get into the third fight that day.

Where are you? Is Kevin still around? Do you have the life we always dreamed of, or did those dreams change since the last time I dreamed them? Have you finally gotten a drivers license? What about kids? Am I asking too many questions, too soon? I have no idea when this letter will reach you, maybe you have grankids. I hope we aged well. I hope it is a future in which human rights apply to all humans, cancer is a thing of the past, and the environment is in a less scary place. I hope we have a house, doesn’t matter where, as long is it’s filled with love and enough to be comfortable. I hope their are gingers running amok, and the love of our life is still kicking, with all of his senses in tact. I hope we have a job that fulfills us, and that we are still learning things about life. I don’t want to know if our family is still alive, I can’t ask if D is sober. If mom is ill, if E ever pulled her shit together. I can’t ask if we are all still struggling to make ends meet, and I won’t even say the word father. I hope we can say that we started trying, working harder, and are better than we thought we could be. I hope those beautiful sisters of ours grew up and contacted us, and we answered their questions with a grace I don’t currently possess. I hope our friends are still around, and some new ones are to be found. Future me, I would ask you to tell me all, but I am just beginning to learn that LIFE is the greatest adventure there is, and I really have to start living it!
